Papermuseum Düren

The Paper Museum Düren presents a detailed overview of both traditional, manual and modern industrial forms of paper production.

Visitors are taken on a fascinating journey through the various stages of paper development, starting from papyrus and parchment and progressing through to the material we know as paper today. Various information furnish graphic accounts of the significance of paper, cardboard and paperboard for our cultural history and our everyday lives.

One special event is the guided tour through the paper museum, which takes place every second Sunday of the month, and concludes with a workshop in which participants are taught to fashion small art works or household items from paper they produced themselves.
